“Well now, listen up, boys. Word is there’s a train fixin’ to roll through our humble little town. But this ain’t no ordinary iron horse, no sir. This one’s belly’s stuffed to the brim with glitterin’ gold.

Now I reckon a gift like that don’t just come knockin’ polite on a man’s door twice in his lifetime. So here’s what I’m thinkin’: we saddle up, lay in wait along the tracks, and relieve that train of its shiny burden for our own considerable trouble.

Why let all that glitter roll on by, fat and happy, when it could be jinglin’ sweet in our own pockets? I say we stop that train, help ourselves to its treasure, and ride off richer than kings at high noon.”

The Great Train Robbery

The main goal of the game is to successfully perform a heist. Beware: you cannot directly control individual characters. Instead, you plan the whole robbery before and then just watch how it unravels.

You will need to hire people, buy them equipment and -- most importantly -- give them tasks. Once the heist starts, your party will only act based on the tasks given. They have no intelligence of their own.

It is very important to give your team members their tasks in a correct order. They will pick the first task that can be performed. For example: if the orders are specified as "1) RUN AWAY, 2) SHOOT", then no shooting will happen (they will run away instead).

Robbing a train is no easy feat. You need to shoot the train in order to disconnect a wagon; this will open it up for looting. But beware of guards!

Alternatively, you may order your party members to attack the locomotive. This will cause the train to slow down and stop eventually.

Do not forget to give your team members the task to collect gold; you do not want to leave the shiny loot lying around!

There are many buildings in the town; these act as starting points for your group members. Some buildings are walk-through (accessible through doors and windows), some only offer roof access. Standing on a roof has both benefits (longer range, safe from close-distance attacks) and limitations (it is not possible to leave the roof).
